Dieterich Buxtehude (1637–1707) Complete Organ Works

Urtext edited by Klaus Beckmann [org]

Rarely has an edition of complete organ works faced such tremendous difficulties, which result from the loss of all the autographs and the inordinate amount of errors contained in the scribes' copies.

You will find more works by north German organ masters here.

You will find the new Urtext edition of the free organ works here.

The Buxtehude edition stands out from the series of “North German Organ Masters” not only because of its scope. Klaus Beckmann began his fundamental revision in 1995 based on the most recent musicological findings and documented in an extensive commentary (preface and critical notes).
