Our new edition is based on the autograph. For the first time, the composition appears with brass (2 trumpets) as it is written in the autograph. Almost all transcripts preserved are presenting this version, too.

Joseph Haydns Organ Concerto in C major Hob XVIII:1 was composed in 1756.
The autograph stems from the archives of Breitkopf & Härtel and has been housed at the Universitäts- und Landesbibliothek Darmstadt since 1953.
The first edition (score and orchestral parts) was published in 1953 by Breitkopf & Härtel in Wiesbaden.
The present Urtext edition is the first to take into account the brass parts prescribed in the autograph, but not written out contained in a contemporary copy.
