  • Description

Handel was one of the composers whom Beethoven revered throughout his life and whose works he copied or arranged for study purposes. Among the pieces he arranged is the orchestral fugue from the overture to "Solomon". In this first edition of Beethoven’s adaptation, this work becomes a string quartet which is both a historical document and an inspired ensemble piece.
